Working Philosophy

In Teknomatrik, everyone irrespective of legal status whether state holder, founder, board member or ordinary employee formed a professional and skill workforce. That is the working philosophy being adopted to ensure growth and sustainability of our company.

Shareholders and Board of Directors

Teknomatrik shares which is currently stands at 100,000.00 units paid up at RM1 per unit are allotted among the following workforce. To date, based on the current net earnings, the value of the shares has grown up to RM6 per share.

The shareholders continuously contributed a significant role in keeping Teknomatrik running at profit and ensuring a solid growth. The financial performance for the past five-consecutive years has proven the company is growing steadily. Besides holding company shares, both En. Zulfikar Mohd Nasir and Pn. Rosmi Abu has been appointed as Teknomatrik Directors.

Zulfikar Mohd Nasir

Graduated with Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronic from Southampton University, United Kingdom, Zulfikar Mohd Nasir has served several years in various disciplines in the Information & Communication Technology Industry such as HP and Axiata, and is well-respected by his peers in his area of expertise.

Zulfikar currently leads and manages the Teknomatrik technical team and is also responsible for research and development especially in the human machine interfacing. He led the group technical team in the design and development of the Bridge Shiphandling Simulator. (BSS)

Rosmi Binti Abu

Rosmi Abu has served several years in various disciplines in Business Administration, and is well-respected by her peers in her area of expertise. Prior to the formation of Teknomatrik, she served with another local simulator company. Her primary role is to manage and oversee the financial management of the company. Her roles in the previous company has significantly equipped her in the area she currently manages.

Advisory Members

To ensure that Teknomatrik is constantly ahead of the business and technology curve, Teknomatrik maintains and manages an ever-growing technical advisory board which comprises of academicians, highly experienced and qualified ex-service Navy personnel and current professionals from the maritime industry. The members of the board are as follows.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Cdr Md Salim Kamil (Retired)

Md Salim Kamil served as a naval officer and naval architect in the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) for over 27 years. During his service in the RMN, he had involved in several ship construction projects of RMN’s ships at Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering/Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering, Pasir Gudang, Johore; Boustead Naval Shipyard, Lumut, Perak; Blohm+Voss Shipyard, Hamburg, Germany and fishing vessels at UniKL MIMET’s Shipyard, Lumut, Perak. He had experiences in ship operation as a marine engineer onboard RMN ships, ship repair and maintenance, contract and management of ship construction projects and major equipment procurement. He had conducted several ship model experiments for design and construction of RMN’s ships at British Maritime Technology (BMT), London, UK; Hamburg Ship Model Basin (HSVA), Hamburg, Germany; Potsdam Ship Model Basin (SVA), Potsdam, Germany; Danish Maritime Institute (DMI), Copenhagen, Denmark and for research at Marine Technology Center (MTC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Md Salim Kamil opted for early retirement from the RMN in June 2004 with the last rank of Commander RMN. He then joined Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET) in July 2004 as a senior lecturer and was promoted to Associated Professor one year later. He has been with the university for almost 15 years and he has served as the Head of Campus and the first Dean of UniKL MIMET.

Md Salim Kamil, graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Glasgow University, Scotland, UK; a Master degree in Naval Architecture from University College London (London University), England, UK; and a Doctor of Philosophy (Technical Science in Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering) from Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University, Russia.

He is a registered Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (Ir, PEPC); a registered Chartered Engineer by the Engineering Council, UK (CEng) and a registered Chartered Marine Engineer by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, UK (CMarEng). He is also a Fellow member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, UK (FRINA), a Fellow member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, UK (FIMarEST) and a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (MIEM).

Dr. Muhammad Haikal Satria

Dr. Muhammad Haikal Satria has been lecturing various courses including C++ Technical Programming, C++ Linux Programming and Accounting Information Systems, at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia located in Skudai, Johor Bahru since 2007.

Currently he is the Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Bioscience and Medical Engineering where he holds the roles of Head of Medical Informatics Lab, Deputy Head of Health Progressive Research Group and Program Manager for Master by Research.

Prior to 2007, Dr Haikal was lecturing Broadband Multimedia Master Degree program at University of Indonesia and Software Engineering at Universitas Mercubuana in Jakarta, Indonesia. He attained Bachelor in Engineering in 2003 & Master of Engineering in 2006 from the University of Indonesia, Master of Science in 2006 from the Universitaet Duisburg Essen, Duisburg, Germany and Electronics Engineering Doctorate in 2014 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

In the course of his academic career, he has also participated and led many application software development projects involving advanced Electrical & Electronic technologies, Computational Mathematics and various IT & Medical technologies.

In 2016, Dr. Haikal was appointed to the advisory board of Teknomatrik Sdn Bhd when he was consulted on the Integration of Hydrodynamic Derivatives for Vessel Simulation.
